How To Create a Child Instances On Private VPS Parent

Now that your Private VPS Parent is set up and ready to go, you’ll want to kick-off a few Child Instances. We’ll start from the Dashboard for the Private VPS Parent, which is where we left off in the previous article: Available Resources On a Private VPS Parent.

Step #1

Click on the Add Child Instance button in the top right corner.

There are several deployment options for the new Child Instance. In the image below, the arrows point to:

• switch/button for Linux or Windows
• a dropdown box with a list of server to Deploy Onto
• a slider for Memory/RAM
• a slider for Disk Space
• a slider for Cores

Scroll down the page just a bit further and you’ll find options for Bandwidth packages and Daily Backups.

Complete the fields in the section Hostname & Password. Be sure to choose a strong (and matching) password for the Password and Confirm Password fields. If you need to generate a strong password, then try this site. Also be sure to select the number of Public IP Addresses you’ll need.

Once you've completed the necessary fields click on the Create Server button.

And finally, a dialogue box confirming the creation of the Child Instance will appear. Verify the information and then click Create Server to continue.
