Pre-Flight Check

  • These instructions are intended specifically for checking the installed version of glibc.
  • I’ll be working from a Liquid Web Self Managed Fedora 22 server, and I’ll be logged in as root.

Using ldd

ldd --version

This should return a result similar to (though your version may vary):

ldd (GNU libc) 2.21

Written by Roland McGrath and Ulrich Drepper.

In this case, version 2.21 is installed.

Using dnf

dnf list glibc

This should return a result similar to:

Installed Packages
glibc.x86_64           2.21-5.fc22           @System
Available Packages
glibc.i686             2.21-5.fc22           fedora

In this case, 2.21-5.fc22 is the package installed.
