Liquid Web is excited to introduce the newest version of PHP 7.3 for all Cloud Sites customers starting on April 3rd, 2019. The upgrade to PHP will bring better performance, improved security, and new features that are gaining a lot of positive attention in the hosting industry.

When is this change happening?

We will stop offering PHP version 7.1 at the end of April. PHP 7.1 is being deprecated by the end of 2019 by the PHP community and will no longer receive security updates. Your technology choices are critical to your business success. Outdated and insecure technologies can cripple your websites when you need them the most, that is why upgrading to 7.3 will be important to complete.

What do I need to do to upgrade?

Performance and security are paramount to your business and being the Most Helpful Humans in Hosting, we are committed to assisting our Cloud Sites customers to upgrade away from 7.1 to 7.3 before December 2019. Switching over is a relatively easy process that is done through your Cloud Sites control panel, and you can choose a time that is convenient for your business.

Liquid Web is excited about this framework and we are committed to helping you as we look to sunset 7.1. Additional information for sunsetting PHP 7.1 will become available in the Fall of 2019. Sign up to our blog to stay up to date with the newest information.
